Jesus is the ONLY way...
There are a lot of ideas floating around about Christianity today. Even within Christian circles there are differing opinions about the importance, person, and divinity of Christ (I say Christian, but you simply are not a Christian if you do not believe in the death, burial, resurrection and divinity of Christ). With all of these ideas about Jesus floating around, with all of the “new age..isms" distorting Biblical ideas about Christianity, many people, including those that call themselves Christians, are not even sure if Jesus is the only way to God.
The fact is, and it is such a simple precept, that Jesus Christ is the only way to God. There is no other way. "Well that’s just not the type of Christianity that I practice," one might say. Well my question for you is what is Christianity composed of? Is it a cultural thing that is different for everyone? Or is it based on your opinion? If you answered yes, I beg to differ. Let’s dissect the word "Christianity." You'll notice that the first half of the word if "Christ." Yes, you may think that I am being sarcastic but I'm just trying to spell things out clearly. Christ is at the heart of Christianity, at the center; “Christ”ianity is built upon Him. “Well, I am a Christian and Jesus never said that He is the only way and that the rest of the world is lost,” you might say. Well what does Jesus have to say about the subject? In the words of Jesus himself, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me" (John 14:6).
The fact that Jesus is the only way to God is a straight forward idea and an obvious part of a biblically based Christian belief system. Why then do I need to say it? Everything is so PC (politically correct) today, and so relativistic. Christians, perhaps due to criticism from the world, try to make their faith a little more open ended, and for what? Out of devotion? No, it is called people pleasing. They don't want to be seen as isolating anyone. They don't want to be seen as doing anything that opens them up to criticism. They definitely don’t want to be seen as a creationist, after all "your a moron of you don't believe in evolution," I say sarcastically. Christianity is drowning in the PC and intellectualist movement.
God loves you. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and no man comes to the Father but through Him. He is the resurrection and the life and even if we die we can live again through Him (John 11:25). God didn't send Jesus into the world to condemn the world but that the world through Him might be saved (John 3:17). So then the message here is not "I'm right and you’re wrong and going to hell!" No. The message is God loves you so much that He sent His only Son to die for you, in your place and for your sins so that you don’t have to go to hell (John 3:16). Jesus is the only way to the Father, so don’t be deceived.
Ask Jesus Christ into your life right now:
Jesus, I repent of my sins; I turn from them and ask you to come into my life. Jesus, I make you Lord upon the throne of my life right now. I believe in you, that you died for me and that God raised you up from the dead. Holy Spirit, enter me now. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
